Nora Barault, 30, is a former restaurant manager and now heads France’s largest food media platform. The daughter of a restaurateur, she began training at just 16 in some of Paris’s best bistros and brasseries. She initially designed logos, menus, and cocktail lists for hundreds of restaurants before launching Le Guide Ultime five years ago. Her guiding principle: never charging small independent restaurateurs, in order to remain objective and to bring along—with her teams—more than 2 million French followers eager to discover and try new, often under-the-radar places. Today, she leads a team of 10 food enthusiasts who share their favorite addresses across Paris and throughout France every day, helping artisans and restaurateurs gain greater visibility.
