Sorting furniture with integrated weighing
Description
The clearing station unit with integrated weighing enables real-time sorting and weighing of food waste in collective catering, with an instant display of the discarded weight.
It includes a playful indicator (good/bad practice) that makes waste visible and encourages more responsible behavior, particularly in school cafeterias.
Waste is weighed and time-stamped, with data stored locally to provide evidence in the event of an inspection.
Results are viewed on a 5" color touchscreen with an intuitive interface, including “acceptable” weight settings and a bin-full alert.
The unit tracks quantities per service, day, week, and as an annual cumulative total, helping teams analyze and manage production.
Thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity and cloud data logging, it is possible to manage multiple sites and make full use of the data.
These insights can be used to adjust menus and achieve a tangible reduction in food waste.
Designed for intensive use, the unit features all-stainless-steel construction, smooth surfaces, rounded edges, and easy cleaning (lift-up scale, optional castors, compatible with hose-down cleaning).
Ergonomics are enhanced by a lift-up ramp that improves access to bins and reduces obstruction when moving the unit.
Finally, it supports regulatory compliance (source separation) while combining education, operational monitoring, and hygiene at the clearing station.
